The grafting site is then allowed to heal for several months. During this period, the patient’s body absorbs the new bone matter into the existing bone, creating a stronger base for a dental implant.
After we are assured that the site has completely healed and the bone graft has been successful, we can begin the dental implant surgical procedure to give the patient a replacement tooth made from titanium and porcelain.
